Overview
When to Leave ("the App") is designed to help you calculate when to leave for the airport. We built this app with privacy in mind—we collect only the minimum data needed to provide accurate departure timelines, and we don't track you, profile you, or sell your information.

Data We Collect
To calculate your departure timeline, the App sends limited information to third-party services. Here's exactly what data is involved and why:

This data is transmitted only when you tap "Calculate" to generate your timeline. We do not store this information on any server we control.
Data Stored on Your Device
The App may store preferences locally on your device (such as your home address, if you choose to save it, or your TSA status preference). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party. You can clear this data at any time by deleting the App.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services to provide functionality:
Google Maps Platform (Directions API, Places API)
Used to calculate drive times and provide address autocomplete. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
TSA Wait Times API
Used to estimate security checkpoint wait times at airports. This service receives only the airport code you select.
These services may collect technical information (such as IP addresses) as part of standard API operations. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for details on how they handle data.
We only use third-party services that maintain privacy and data protection standards consistent with this policy and applicable law.
Data We Do NOT Collect
To be clear about what we don't do:
- We do not collect your name, email, or any personal identifiers
- We do not track your location in the background
- We do not use analytics SDKs or crash reporting tools
- We do not display advertisements
- We do not share or sell data to third parties for marketing
- We do not build profiles about you
Data Retention
We do not operate servers that store your data. The only data retention that occurs is:
- On your device: Preferences you choose to save (cleared when you delete the App)
- By third-party APIs: Subject to their respective retention policies
Your Rights & Choices
You have full control over your data:
- Delete local data: Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored preferences
- Limit location use: You can deny location permissions; the App will still work if you manually enter your address
- Request information: Contact us if you have questions about your data
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address the situation.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
